Jim Cossitt is slated to be a featured speaker at the Annual Conference of the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association (CRBBA), where he will be discussing the various techniques and outer limits of pre-bankruptcy exemption planning.Pre bankruptcy exemption planning, also known as asset protection planning, is the legal advice provided to financially distressed people so as to allow them to retain as many assets as possible or protect those assets from creditor claims.
The CRBBA is an organization comprised of local bankruptcy attorneys throughout the Capital Region of New York. Its main purpose is to provide educational support and networking between the members and local bankruptcy practitioners. Their annual conference continues to bring together a nationally renowned faculty of judges, academics and practitioners.
The Conference will be held November 11-12, 2016, at the Otesaga Resort Hotel in Cooperstown, NY.

Jim has legal experience spanning four decades in the areas of bankruptcy, workouts, secured transactions, commercial litigation and consumer finance and business law.
